Capital Planning, Design & Construction (CPDC) oversees campus physical planning, design and construction activities in accordance with CSU policies and procedures. The department administers the Major and Minor Capital Outlay Programs for the University.

CPDC is responsible for implementing the Campus Master Plan through the Capital Improvment Program. The department interfaces with the Office of the Chancellor and state and local agencies and works with the University community to develop major and minor capital outlay projects.

CPDC is responsible for managing capital outlay projects for the campus and provides construction management and contracts and administration services. It is mandated to enforce building, life-safety, and accessibility codes for all campus projects and provides planning approval and issues building permits.
