Testing

VIT is placement ACT testing. Please consult the ACT website for information regarding testing information and preparation materials. If a student is electing to take the  SAT1 test, they will need to refer to the  SAT website regarding testing information.

If you determine you need to take a residual  for admittance into VIT, the tests are offered according to the schedule listed below.

VIT utilized Placement Testing to determine the level of academic preparedness for all incoming freshmen (30 hours or less). We offer the placement testing twice a month and utilize a RSVP list to schedule each date for the test proctor. Contact the Office of Admissions to schedule a specific date to complete your testing.

Upon evaluation of the placement scores, the Office of Admissions will coordinate your academic advisement and registration at your convenience. We will ensure that you are introduced to your academic advisor and walk you though the process of becoming a VIT Student.
